Day 1

Santa Cruz, Samaipata & Vallegrande

Departing from Santa Cruz you will be driven to Samaipata (120 km – 3 hours).
From Samaipata you’ll be driven to El Fuerte Ruins. This drive provides amazing views of the sub-Andean nature.
Arriving at El Fuerte Ruins you will have time to explore the largest example of pre-hispanic rock architecture in South America; declared a Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.
You will then be taken to Samaipata town where you will visit the museum and take a stroll through the town.
As the afternoon approaches you will be taken to Vallegrande (3 hours). This province is in a great undulating lowland. Its name comes from colonial times because of the big valley between the mountains that cross the territory.
You will then be driven to the Plaza Pueblo Hotel where dinner will be served and you will stay the night.

Day 2

Vallegrande, El Churo, La Higuera & Vallegrande

After a hearty breakfast, your day will begin with a trip to La Higuera (3 hours and a half). Throughout this drive you will observe the numerous diverse picturesque villages such as; Guadalupe, El Cruce and Pucará, all with undeniable majestic views of the landscapes.
Upon your arrival at La Higuera (110 inhabitants) you will visit La Escuelita (Community’s Little School) where El Che was executed in October 9, 1967. You will also visit the small Community Museum.
After lunch, you will hike to Quebrada del Churo or Yuro (2 km.). This is where El Che was wounded and taken in as a prisoner before his death.
You will then be driven back to the Plaza Pueblo Hotel where dinner will be served and you will stay the night.

Day 3

Valle Grande & Santa Cruz

After breakfast, you will visit the airport where Ché Guevara’s human remains were found. You will also visit the historical monuments, the museum and places which were greatly influenced El Che such as; the Laundry, this is where his body remained until his burial.
From here you will have lunch and be driven back to Santa Cruz.
